The Codes below work only for the American Versions Normal Codes The following do not need any game enhancer like a Game Shark. Fight 100+ Level Pokemon I was reluctant to post this code because of the effect it would have on two player battles, that is it was almost like cheating. If you do decided to use these in battle, the other player should know about it. Okay, here goes. Perform the 99 Items code below, then after encountering 'M, keep surfing around for a while and you will run into Pokemon that are Lv 135 and above! It is possible to capture them. What's so valuable about this trick is that you might just run into Bulbasaurs, Charmaders and Squirtles! However, some copies of the game can do this better than others, and if you use the Pokemon in a battle other than a 2 player battle, it will revert back to a Lv. 100 Pokemon. Still, defeating these high level Pokemon is a quick way to earn up to 3000 Exp. Points! Get Over 99 of Any Item (Without a Game Shark!) This code is actually comprised of several different codes sent in by readers. Alone, they're not as exciting, but put them together and you have the code you've been waiting for! And here's how you do it! First, return back to Viridian City and talk to the man who taught you how to catch a Weedle (he is near the Gym where you face Giovanni). Reply "No" to his question, then watch him catch a Weedle. Then, place the item you want 99 of as number six from the top (we recommend Rare Candy or the Master Ball if you still have it). To switch items, press Select while pointing to an item, then move the arrow where you want the item to go and push Select again. Both items will switch places. Now, FLY back to Cinnabar Island and start SURFING along the east coast of Cinnabar like in the Missingno. code below. This time, however, you will face a different messed up Pokmon, with a name comprised of symbols and the letter M (players refer to him as M). Defeat him or run away but do NOT capture it. When it is defeated, you will have over 100 of the sixth item on your list! The number will actually be a symbol followed by a number If you want to repeat this trick, you'll need to talk to the man again. Keep in mind that you may be surfing for a while before you face M. This trick also works when you capture Missingno. However, since this uses parts of the Missingno code, there will be some side effects (look at the Missingno code below). You can also duplicate expensive items and sell them back to earn lots of money! Thanks to all the players who sent in codes! Missingno. Pokmon #000 First have a Pokmon with surf. Go in the first door inside the Pokmon lab on Cinnabar Island and trade with one of the trainers in there. Then surf along the east coast of Cinnabar Island, half on water, half on land. Eventually you will fight a bird called Missingno. (the fourth legendary bird?). It does lots of damage but is easy to defeat. It looks like a mass of dots flying around. just throw balls at it to catch it. Be warned, having this Pokmon can crash your Hall of Fame and mess up the graphics (all your Pokmon and the enemy Pokmon can get all warped in battle). It is number 000 in the Pokdex and doesn't have an entry. it has a high attack but all its other stats are really low. If you have an older model Gameboy (not Color or Pocket versions) you may risk your game by catching it. Fight Safari Pokmon Elsewhere To fight and capture Safari Zone Pokmon outside of the park, first go into the Safari Zone. Let the time run out when you're standing in a patch of grass which holds the Pokmon you want to catch. Step back outside and use FLY to Fly back to Cinnabar Island. Using SURF, surf up and down the right side of the shoreline, where you are half on shore and half in the water. You should then enter some battles with Safari Zone Pokmon! No more bait or rocks! It's sleep and Psybeam time! This also works with other areas of the game where you find wild Pokmon. Experiment and see what happens! Clone Pokmon (US) You need a friend for this. Trade the Pokmon to be cloned and have you friend get a Pokmon they don't care about. Trade them, and make sure the person getting the weak and common Pokmon can see the other's screen. When the receiver of the good Pokemon's screen says "waiting", turn off the Game Boy that's getting the bad Pokmon. When the other one says trade completed, turn that one off too. When you turn the games back on, you should both have the powerful Pokmon, but the weak Pokmon will be lost. Warning! This could delete a saved game or your Pokmon! | |||||||||||||||||||||||

Go to sleep!.....OK wake up now! | If you have a Pokmon who has Rest or if you can get TM44, your Pokmon can restore all his\her hit points (HP), in a span of 2 turns! Simply use Rest during battle (the Pokmon will fall asleep), then during your next turn, play the Poke Flute (Obtained when you save Mr. Fuji from the tower in the Pokmon Tower) your Pokmon will wake up ready to go! Legendary Birds Of all the legendary birds I've found Zapdos is the easiest to capture (which isn't saying much!) since it is possible to capture it when it has nothing wrong with its status (such as sleep or paralyze) and it is possible to capture it when it's health bar is more then just a sliver. Once you have captured Zapdos you can use it to quickly lower the health level of Articuno and Moltres (for these last two I needed to reduce their defense or make them go to sleep to even hit them with a Pok-ball). Moon Stones There are five Moon Stones, three of which are visible, two of which are not. 1) In the upper-lefthand corner of the first floor of Mt. Moon. 2) In the basement of the game corner. 3) In the bottom-right corner of Route 2 (CUT). 4) In Mt. Moon, before the Supernerd's platform, there is a corridor 4 spaces long and 1 space wide, go to the end of it and press A and poof! you have a Moon Stone. 5) In the Pokmon Mansion on Cinnabar Island, go up to the right side of one of the pillars on the right-hand side near the entrance hit A and it will say you found a Moon Stone. Unlimited chances to catch rare Pokmon Did you ever run into one of those Pokmon that you can only catch once? Here is a good trick to get as many shots as you want to catch those Pokmon! First ,find a rare Pokmon such as a Mewtwo. Then, right before you go into battle with it, save the game at that point. Finally, you can battle the Pokmon without worrying that you didn't catch it. If you screw up and you make it faint, just stop where you are and shut off the game. Then you can turn it back on, select continue and presto! You should be saved right before getting into battle with the Pokmon! Better Chance To Capture Pokmon There is a code for the USA version (it might work for the Japanese version too) to catch Pokmon easier. When you throw a Pok-ball hold Up and press down the "A" button as it closes on the Pokmon. The Pok-ball will shut tighter and it will be easier to catch the Pokmon. This trick will work best with the Ultra Ball. Harder Hitting Attacks This code is sorta like the "Better Chance to Catch Pokmon" code but it's for attack. Just hold the A button while your attacking and it will do more damage than if you didn't hold A. Phantom PC That's right, a Phantom PC. Go to Celadon City, then go south until you are by the Alley where the Game Corner is. Walk EAST until you are standing next to a bush. CUT the bush down and go SOUTH to the first building to the WEST.... this is the People Motel. Enter the Motel and walk NORTH until you hit the shelf, then walk EAST until you hit the wall. Now walk DOWN 2 spaces, the walk UP 1 space. Now press A and select something to do! Fishing Guide Route 22: #050 Poliwag; #118 Goldeen Celadon City/Route 10: #079 Slowpoke; #062 Poliwhirl Route(s) 12, 13, 17 & 18: #072 Tentacool; #098 Krabby; #118 Goldeen; #129 Magikarp Pallet Town: #072 Tentacool Cerulean City/Route(s) 4, 24 & 25: #118 Goldeen; #054 Psyduck; #098 Krabby Viridian City: #072 Tentacool; #060 Poliwag Vermilion City/Route(s) 6 & 11: #098 Krabby;#090 Shellder Safari Zone: #054 Psyduck, #098 Krabby, #079 Slowpoke, #147 Dratini, Fuchsia City: #098 Krabby, #118 Goldeen, #129 Magikarp, #119 Seaking Fish in Statues It's wierd, but you can fish in statues! Simply use the rod! Sometimes you can find rare water Pokmon this way. Even the Odds at Game Corner In the casino above the guy with the glasses that you usually find in gyms is a slot machine with great odds. The way I got a Porygon was simple but still long. Save the game when you hit the jackpot After a while the game is fixed and you will either get multiple wins, or hit the jackpot- doing that you eventually start to win several hundred at a time. By hitting the a button rapidly it sets a pattern to make sure you now when the jackpot comes up- the slot machine starts to slow down. Start With All Three Start Pokmon Requires:2 linkable game boy systems,2 pokemon games(any color),and a game link cable NOTE:Make sure that Game Boy B takes Bulbasaur to start and then you`ll see the rest of the code below. 1.Start a new game with Game Boy A 2.Go to Prof. Oak`s and get Squirtle, then go get his package, return it, then get the Pokedex. 3.Go to nearest pokemon center and trade squirtle to game Boy B 4.Start new game with Game Boy A 5.Repeat 2-4 6.Go to Prof. Oak`s and get Charmander, then go get his package, return it, then get the Pokedex. 7.Go to nearest pokemon center and trade Charmander to Game Boy B 8.Start new game with Game Boy A 9.Repeat 6-8 10.Go to Prof. Oak`s and get Bulbasaur, then go get his package, return it, then get the Pokedex.
